11 Feb 2018 – There may be no New Zealand curlers at PyeongChang 2018, but there's still plenty to inspire Kiwis with some fabulous curling on display!
If you're in Auckland you can come and find out what it's about every Sunday afternoon in March at Paradice Avondale.
You can come to just one session, or to as many as you want.
Each session will start with some group tuition, and if you come to more than one session it will build on what you've already done. Then you'll play a game.
|Who||Anyone and everyone who's never curled before, or who might have had a go a few times. Suitable for teenagers to seniors, all abilities catered for.|
Every Sunday in March. You can come along to just one, or to as many as you want.
Arrive at 4:15 pm if you haven't pre-registered. Off ice introduction and orientation from 4:30 pm before we go on the ice. Each session will go though until about 7:00 pm, but you can continue until 7:45 pm if you wish.
|Where||Paradice Avondale, 150 Lansford Crescent, Avondale – map|
|Register||You can register and optionally pre-pay here to save you (and us) time on the day. Or you can sign up from 4:15 pm on the day of your session at the rink.|
|Cost||$10 per person, per session. Credited to your fees if you decide to join the club.|
No experience needed! All curling gear is supplied.
You just need clean flat-soled shoes (sports shoes are ideal), something you can stretch out in, and a couple of layers. Maybe a hat. You might need to remove that jacket once you warm up!
