10 Oct 2017 – A fortnight after winning the Auckland Club Championship with their Cleansweep team, Chelsea Farley and Ryan Lewis collected more silverware when they scooped the 2017 Auckland Mixed Doubles title.

Six doubles teams (four of them mixed teams) played an abbreviated round robin through the evening, with short games of 3 or 4 ends.

With the final round left to play, three sides held a 3 win - 1 loss record: Pauline Farra / Ian Ford, Ben Frew / Garion Long and Farley / Lewis.

Frew and Long finished at 4 and 1 after beating Farra and Ford in the last round. Farley and Lewis also won their last match to sit level on the table with Frew and Long, but it was the latter pair who won the night overall on countback.

They were ineligible to win the Mixed Doubles title so it was Farley and Lewis who lifted the Auckland Mixed Doubles cup, with Farra and Ford runners up.
