26 Aug 2019 – The QRC Winter Games NZ Mixed Doubles Curling Tournament presented by Forsyth Barr gets under way in Naseby, Central Otago tomorrow, and NZ Curling's National Coach Peter de Boer says the Kiwi players are raring to go.

The top three teams from the 2019 New Zealand Championships will carry the home side's hopes, including back-to-back champions Jess and Ben Smith who will use this event to gain valuable experience for the 2020 World Championship in Canada.

"Mixed Doubles will be a big part of NZ Curling's future," said de Boer, "and for our top players to get this sort of international competition at home is just huge."

1 Aug 2019 – Winter Games NZ is proud to announce SKY Sport will be the Official Broadcast Partner of the Games in the lead up to the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Beijing. The elite international winter sports event is celebrating 10 years of excellence in 2019, and in conjunction with SKY Sport will bring over four times as much content to New Zealand fans.

The focus will be on Live Broadcasts of the major ice and snow sports events and Highlight shows of the 26 events being held across six venues over 17 action packed days.

The Games get underway on Friday 23rd August with a Parallel Slalom under lights at Coronet Peak in Queenstown, featuring top skiers from New Zealand and around the world. The Mixed Doubles Curling tournament runs from Monday 26th to Saturday 31st August

2019 Winter Games NZ

30 Apr 2019 – Winter is just around the corner and we are excited to announce the dates for the seventh edition of the Winter Games NZ which will run from the 23rd of August to the 7th of September 2019.

The Games will feature elite international ice and snow sports events across a range of disciplines including alpine and para alpine ski racing, cross country skiing, curling, freeriding, freesking, ice hockey and snowboarding.

The Winter Games NZ Mixed Doubles Curling Tournament will take place in Naseby from the 26th - 31st August and is once again the first stop on the 2019/20 World Curling Tour season.
