16 Nov 2012 – Three of New Zealand's curlers at the Pacific-Asia Championships in Naseby will be billboards actively promoting men's health. Kenny Thomson, Phil Dowling and Scott Becker are sprouting moustaches in support of Movember.

Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in New Zealand and around the world. The aim is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and depression in men.

Kenny Thomson said, "Last year Phil and I carried the can for Men's health, and with Scott we'll do the same this year."

"It is all for a good cause, and we don't just do it to look suave and sophisticated – although as you saw last year, that is clearly an added bonus!"

"So all credit to the bench and front end," he added. "We'll leave our brains trust to do their thinking with bald top lips."
