11 Jul 2020 – This year's NZ Curling Training Camp will run on Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 July at the MCI rink in Naseby.
This is in the week before NZ Under-21 Championships (10-12 July), also in Naseby.
Curlers will have a busy two days learning: delivery and sweeping techniques, strategy, communication, team positions, video analysis, drills, and much more. All curlers are welcome, from beginners to intermediate levels. Potential competitors in the NZ Under-21 Championships are strongly encouraged to attend.
There is no cost to participants. Travel assistance will be offered to attendees who are not from Central Otago.
The camp will run from 10:00 am to 4:30-5:00 pm both days.

Accommodation and Transport
Travel, accommodation, and meals must be arranged by the camp participants.
- The NZ Curling Association has agreed to meet the cost of ice hire for the camp and to contribute $200 towards travel costs for those travelling from the North Island, and $50 for those from Dunedin. Details will be advised at the camp.
- Accommodation – click for options from Naseby Information Centre website
- Transport – there is no public transport to Naseby or within Naseby. Naseby is about 140 km from Dunedin, a little further from Queenstown. Potentially, participants could arrange to share transport and costs (e.g. a minivan from Dunedin). If you would like your contact details to be shared with other participants for this purpose then please indicate this in the comments section on your application. We are unable to share your details unless you agree to do so, and we cannot guarantee that any arrangement will result.
- The curling rink is about 0.5 to 1.5km from most accommodation options within Naseby - see Google Maps.
