10 Oct 2012 – Sweeping Beauties added another trophy to the mantelpiece with a good win in the recent Auckland Under-21 championship.

In an all-girls Final, Chelsea Farley, Thivya Jeyaranjan, Tessa Farley and Kelsi Heath beat the Hackers side of Eleanor Adviento, Waverley Taylor, Brittany Taylor and Sofia Carnvik 7-1.

19 Oct 2012 – Auckland Curling's 2012 season came to a close in mid-October with the club's Mixed Doubles championship.

Liz Matthews capped off a great year when she and playing partner Ian Ford held off a strong challenge from Waverley Taylor and Kieran Grieve in the final.

The 14 teams contested a lightning competition, with 5 draws of 4-end games completed in just over 4 hours.

All sides started with 2 games in the first three rounds, the draw having been determined by lot. Teams were then ranked by the number of wins, draws, ends won and points scored.

The four sides to qualify for semi-finals were Kelsi Heath and Kieran Ford, Liz Matthews and Ian Ford, Lucienne Langille and Dean Fotti (all on 2 wins), while Waverley Taylor and Kieran Grieve had a win and a draw.

Auckland champions, Ayrshire Rockers

26 Sep 2012 – Iain Craig's Ayrshire Rockers triumphed with 2012's top honours after the Finals night of Auckland Curling's season on 22 September.

He and Lorne DePape, Gavin Brown and Brianne Koning won the A Division final 9-1 from the Round Robin winners Thistles (Liz Matthews, Glenys Taylor, Pauline Farra and Christine Bewick).

18 Oct 2011 – The Shy Teds side of Kieran Ford, Brett Sargon, Keswick Pearson and Morgan Long, 2010 Auckland Under-21 champions, stepped up a notch when they won this year's Auckland Premier League title.

They beat Team Bauer 5-4 in the Final. Team Bauer (Alex Bauer, Nick Lambert, Katie Bauer and Emily Whelan) were the top qualifiers for the playoff rounds after topping round robin play with 14 wins from 17.

30 Sep 2011 – An Auckland Curling Club team has won the Victoria Curling Association's 2011 Open Bonspiel title.

The 8-team tournament was held at Melbourne's Medibank Icehouse on 26-28 September in conjunction with the Australian Junior, Senior and Mixed Doubles Championships.

Al Langille, Kenny Thomson, Dean Fotti and Ian Ford started their tournament with a less than convincing draw in their first game against a local Victorian side. They clicked in the second match though, recording an 11-2 win over the other visiting side, this one from Queensland.

16 Aug 2011 – The championship playoff format for Auckland Curling Club’s 2011 season has been finalised.

After the round robin has been completed on 25 September the league will split into 3 division with 6 teams in each, and there will be playoffs to find the winner of each division.

16 Apr 2011 – Both new and returning curlers will benefit from Auckland Curling Club's Skills, Strategy and Etiquette Clinic this Sunday says club president Al Langille.

"Whether your curling experience is one week, one season or decades, you'll find it valuable," he says. "The cost is $10, but this will be credited to your membership fees."

Anyone who missed last week's successful "Have A Go" night will also have another chance this Sunday.

5 Apr 2011 – Dates for Auckland Curling's Club and Secondary School league have been confirmed.

This will be an exciting year for the club with Paradice coming through on their commitment to improve the facility. Enhancements include a new Ice Plant, new cooling pipes and floor, rock cooler closer to the ice, new boards with glass all around and new air conditioning.
