21 Dec 2010 – The NZ Curling Association wishes all curlers compliments of the festive season.

Then just a week after New Year's Day the stakes will be high in the Pacific Junior Curling Championships at Naseby, where places at the 2011 World Junior Curling Championships and the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics will be decided.

11 Dec 2010, Champéry, Switzerland – World Curling Federation Member Associations have unanimously approved changes to the WCF’s Olympic Winter Games qualifying system.

Members voted to create a two year point qualification period and the creation of a new Olympic Qualification event.

The new system takes effect immediately, pending approval of the International Olympic Committee, ahead of the Sochi 2014 games. The new Olympic Qualification event will be staged in November 2013 and will be open to any eligible WCF Member Association who plays in the World Curling Championships in 2011.

9 Dec 2010 – Latest news from the New Zealand Curling Association covers the roles of the High Performance Committee and two recent appointments, and release of a draft calendar for the 2011 year.

Dates and playing times are confirmed for next month's Pacific Junior Curling Championships, to be hosted in NZ at Naseby.

27 Oct 2010 – In the latest update from the NZ Curling Associations Executive, New Zealand's quest for 2014 Olympic qualification begins next month at the 2010 Pacific Curling Championships.

The NZCA Executive is considering the best venue for all 2011 NZ Championship events – feedback will be sought from participants at next year's tournaments.

28 Sep 2010 – The latest newsletter from the NZ Curling Association includes

  • the decision of the NZCA Exedutive not to change the National team selection process for the time being.
  • the introduction of a NZ Senior Curling Championship.
  • a round-up of recent and forthcoming tournaments.
  • confirmation of the NZ Mixed Doubles team for next year's World Championship.

14 Sep 2010 – This NZ Curling Association invites comments from members on a proposed change to the selection policy for National teams – should they be selected teams as at present, or should the team which wins the applicable NZ Championship become the New Zealand team for the following year?

Entry forms for the NZ Secondary Schools and NZ Under 21 Championships in Dunedin are also included.

5 Aug 2010 – The NZ Curling Association's August newsletter details the national tournaments still to be played this year, confirms the NZ Open and Senior teams for upcoming tournaments and summarises July's major outdoor events – The Bonspiel, the Idaburn Trophy and the Nicolson Trophy.

8 Jul 2010 – Alpine Curling Club are the proud holders of the Snuff Box trophy after winning their first National Bonspiel since the club was founded 115 years ago, at nearby St Bathans in 1895. They recorded a perfect 8 wins from their 8 games to finish clear winners.

Second were 9-time winners Blackstone Hill CC, celebrating their 125th year, with 6 wins and 170 points scored. Just behind them were 2001 winners Dunedin Country CC with 6 wins and 168 points.

16 Jun 2010 – This June newsletter from the New Zealand Curling Association advises of changes to the dates for the Under-21 High Performance camp, and improvements to NZCA meeting procedure. It also clarifies selection criteria for New Zealand teams and has information on 2010 New Zealand championships.
